| Title: Frozen Cherry Pie; Revocation of a Standard of Identity and a Standard of Quality | |
|
Abstract:
FDA is revoking our standard of identity and standard of quality (21 CFR 152.126) for frozen cherry pie. Frozen cherry pie is the only fruit pie on the market for which FDA has established a standard of identity and standard of quality. Consequently, FDA is revoking part 152 (21 CFR part 152) ("Fruit pies") in its entirety, as the standards for frozen cherry pie are the only standards in part 152. This action would provide food manufacturers with greater flexibility in the production of frozen cherry pie products. |
