Abstract:
This proposed rulemaking will clarify import permit requirements for those who intend to apply for an import permit. The rulemaking will improve HHS/CDC’s ability to prevent the introduction, transmission, or spread of communicable disease into the United States. This proposed rule seeks to strengthen border and import controls, prevent bioterrorism by allowing authorities to track and monitor high-risk materials, and better coordinate with Federal partners who enforce border security and control. |
