| Abstract: This proposed rule would establish a program for payment to individuals who provide information on Medicare fraud and abuse. It would also establish a program to collect information on Medicare program efficiency, improvements and allow for payment to the individuals who provide the information. Overall, it would implement sections 203(b) and 203(c) of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (Public Law n104-191), enacted on August 21, 1996. | |
