| Title: Medical Improvement Eligibility Group and Definition of Work (CMS-2143-P) | |
| Abstract: This proposed rule would codify in regulations certain statutory provisions established under the Balanced Budget Act of 1997 and the Ticket to Work and Work Incentives Improvement Act of 1999 (TWWIIA). These statutory provisions allow States to provide Medicaid coverage to employed individuals with disabilities who, due to improvement in medical conditions, lose eligibility for disability benefits that confer Medicaid eligibility. This proposed rule would also provide a definition for "severe medically determinable impairment" under the TWWIIA. | |
