| Abstract: Our prior regulations for determining disability for children under title XVI of the Social Security Act (the Act) stated that we use Form SSA-538 to explain our findings. We are revising our regulations to specify that we may also collect this information electronically. This revision supports our increased use of technology to improve accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of decision-making throughout the disability determination process. | |
