| Title: Prohibiting Probation and Parole Violators From Serving as Representative Payees (3588P) | |
| Abstract: We propose to prohibit probation or parole violators from serving as representative payees under titles II, VIII, and XVI of the Social Security Act. We propose these revisions to make our rules consistent with the Social Security Protection Act of 2004, establish a uniform policy in these cases, and protect beneficiaries and recipients. | |
