| Title: Expansion of Benefits Continuation Election Period | |
|
Abstract:
We propose to extend the timeframe allowed for a current disability recipient or beneficiary and their currently entitled title II auxiliaries to request benefit continuation when appealing a decision that the individual’s medical impairment(s) ceased altogether, never existed, or is no longer disabling to the reconsideration or administrative law judge hearing level of the administrative review process.
