Title: Expand the Definition of a Public Assistance (PA) Household 
Abstract:

The final rule expands the definition of a Public Assistance (PA) Household to include SNAP as an additional public income-maintenance (PIM) program, and changes the definition of a PA household from one in which every member receives a PIM payment to one in which the household has both an SSI applicant or recipient, and one other household member who receives one of the PIM payments listed in the regulation.  This will decrease the number of applicants and recipients charged in-kind support and maintenance, which will simplify living arrangement development within the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program.
