Abstract:
This Notice of Proposed Rulemaking would enact the Supporting America’s Children and Families Act, effective January 4, 2025, that amended the IRS Code and Title IV-D of the Social Security Act, authorizing tribal IV-D agencies direct access to IRS data, also known as federal tax information (FTI), to certify eligible cases for FTRO for collection of past-due child support. The proposed rule would also make technical corrections to the 45 CFR Chapter III heading and to part 309. |
