Title: Implementation of Direct Federal Tax Offset Access for Tribal Child Support Programs and Technical Corrections and Updates to Child Support Enforcement Regulations
Abstract:

This Notice of Proposed Rulemaking would implement provisions of the Supporting America’s Children and Families Act (Public Law 118-258), that provide federally recognized Indian Tribes operating IV-D programs with direct access to the federal tax offset program. The proposed rule would also make technical corrections and updates to 45 CFR Chapter III to improve clarity, reduce administrative burden, and align regulations with current statutory requirements and operational practices.
