Title: Modifications to the HIPAA Enforcement Rule Under the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act  
Abstract: The Department of Health and Human Services, Office for Civil Rights, will issue final rules to modify the HIPAA Enforcement Rule to reflect the revised penalty structure and certain other provisions of Section 13410 of the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (Title XIII of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009) that were effective February 17, 2009.
