Title: ●Metadata Standards to Support Nationwide Electronic Health Information Exchange 
Abstract: This advance notice of proposed rulemaking would propose the adoption of metadata standards to support nationwide electronic health information exchange. The proposed standards serve as first step toward implementing certain recommendations made by the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) in a report entitled, "Realizing the Full Potential of Health Information Technology to improve Healthcare for Americans: The Path Forward."
