View Rule

The Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Forest Service intend to update the existing rental fee schedule for communications uses and linear rights-of-way. They will issue an Advance Notice of Proposed rulemaking to solicit public comment and suggestions. A subsequent proposed rule would update the existing rental fee schedule to align communication site and linear right-of-way fees with market values and update policies and practices as required by current regulations and in response to Office of Inspector General audits. Current regulations will not support a change without rulemaking.
