| Title: ●Supplemental Standards of Ethical Conduct for Employees of the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement (BOEMRE) | |
| Abstract: This rule will protect the integrity and impartiality of BOEMRE employees given their unique duties in leasing, regulation, and enforcement of safety and environmental protections in offshore energy production. The rule would require employees to report inappropriate interference with the performance of official duties. The rule will bar BOEMRE employees from taking official action when their impartiality may be questioned due to personal and business relationships and creates a new requirement to request recusal in those instances. This rule will establish "covered relationships" for BOEMRE employees and extends the "cooling off" period from one year to two years. | |
