Title: ●Adjusting the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 Limits of Liability for Offshore Facilities 
Abstract: BOEM is mandated, under the oil Pollution Act of 1990, to update the limits of liability for damages caused by oil spills originating at offshore facilities and to establish and maintain evidence of financial responsibility for facility operators. This regulation raises the limits of liability in accordance with the requirements of the Oil Pollution Act of 1990, and ensures that future updates take place on a regular basis, as required by the Act.
