Title: Interagency Guidance for the Prescription of Fishways Pursuant to Section 18 of the Federal Power Act 
Abstract: This will make publicly available, and describe the intent of, internal guidance for us (the Fish and Wildlife Service) and the National Marine Fisheries Service regarding the prescription of fishways under section 18 of the Federal Power Act, for non-Federal hydropower projects licensed by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. It will also provide clarification of the terms "fish" and "fishway." The guidance document will be reviewed following a 2-year trial period, and the information obtained will be used to support a final action.
