Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Reclassifying the Wood Bison 
Abstract: We received a petition to reclassify the wood bison (Bison bison athabascae) in Canada from endangered to threatened under the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended. The petition presented substantial scientific and commercial information indicating that reclassification, as petitioned, may be warranted under the Act. Concurrent with the 12-month petition finding, we published a proposed rule to reclassify the wood bison from endangered to threatened. We will consider public comments before publishing a final rule.
