| Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Special Rule for the Pacific Coast Distinct Population Segment of the Western Snowy Plover | |
| Abstract: We plan to make a final determination on a special rule for the Pacific Coast population of the threatened western snowy plover under section 4(d) of the Endangered Species Act. The rule would eliminate the take prohibitions when entities involved in management activities have a habitat management plan that has been approved by the Service in the States of Washington, Oregon, and California. It would provide additional positive conservation benefits to the species while helping jurisdictions to meet their local conservation, economic, and recreational needs. | |
