| Title: ●Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Emergency Rule; Manatee Refuge in Kings Bay, Citrus County, Florida | |
| Abstract: We plan to amend our existing manatee protection regulations in Kings Bay by publishing an emergency rule to expand Kings Bay manatee refuge by designating all of it as a manatee refuge. The designation would provide a means to address concerns regarding manatee harassment from manatee viewing activities and the death and injury of manatees from watercraft collisions. This designation also would provide us with an adaptive management tool to address changing and increasing threat levels to manatees in the area. | |
