| Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Listing Determination for Three Parrots of Southeast Asia and the Pacific | |
| Abstract: We made a final determination to list the Philippine cockatoo (Cacatua haematuropygia) and the yellow-crested cockatoo (Cacatua sulphurea) as endangered, and the white cockatoo as threatened, under the ESA. We also finalized a special rule for the white cockatoo. The Philippine cockatoo is endemic to the Philippines, whereas the yellow-crested and white cockatoos are endemic to Indonesia. We determined in our earlier status review that the crimson shining parrot (Prosopeia splendens), endemic to Fiji, did not warrant listing under the ESA. | |
