Title: ●Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Critical Habitat Designation for the Northern Spotted Owl 
Abstract: We will designate critical habitat for the northern spotted owl (Strix occidentalis caurina) under the Endangered Species Act. On June 26, 1990, we listed the northern spotted owl as threatened under the Act. The species occurs in Redwood forests of Washington, Oregon, and northwestern California.
