Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Listing Determination for the New Mexico Meadow Jumping Mouse
Abstract: FWS listed as endangered the New Mexico meadow jumping mouse (Zapus hudsonius luteus) under the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended. This species is endemic to New Mexico, Arizona, and a small area of southern Colorado. Recent genetic studies confirm that the New Mexico meadow jumping mouse is a distinct subspecies from other Zapus hudsonius subspecies, confirming the currently accepted subspecies designation. Critical habitat is under RIN 1018-AZ32.
