Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Listing Goose Creek Milk-Vetch and Least Chub
Abstract: FWS will make determinations regarding listing the Goose Creek milk-vetch and least chub pursuant to the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended. FWS will designate critical habitat for these species pursuant to the ESA, if found to be prudent and determinable, in another rule (RIN 1018-BA04). The least chub is a small minnow that lives in spring-fed pools. Five wild populations of least chub remain. Three are in Snake Valley in Utah's West Desert; they include the Leland Harris Spring Complex, Gandy Salt Marsh, and Bishop Spring Complex. The remaining two wild populations are located on the eastern border of the native range near the Wasatch Front. Those populations in the Mills Valley and Clear Lake are in the Sevier River drainage. The Goose Creek milk-vetch is a low-growing perennial plant found only in the Goose Creek drainage of Cassia County, Idaho; Elko County, Nevada; and Box Elder County, Utah.
