Title: ●Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Critical Habitat Designation for Gierisch's Mallow 
Abstract: Pursuant to the ESA, we are required to designate critical habitat, to the maximum extent prudent and determinable, concurrent with a listing determination for a species. We are developing a listing determination for Gierisch's mallow, a plant, as a separate rulemaking action (see RIN 1018-AY58). We are proposing to designate approximately 12,822 acres of critical habitat in Arizona and Utah for the species. Approximately 75 percent of this is on Bureau of Land Management lands, and the remaining 25 percent is on State land.
