Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Listing Determination for the Pacific Fisher (West Coast Distinct Population Segment)
Abstract:

FWS will make a listing determination for the west coast distinct population segment of the the Pacific fisher. The Pacific fisher's habitat consists of older forests with high canopy cover, and mature and old-growth forests. They rest, nest, and take cover in downed wood, high cavities in dead tree snags, and clumps of tree branches. The range of the West Coast DPS of the Pacific fisher includes 15 counties in California and 5 counties in Oregon. FWS will make a critical habitat designation for the Pacific fisher (West Coast DPS) under the ESA as a separate rulemaking action (RIN 1018-BA06).
