| Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Listing Determination for the Georgia Aster | |
|
Abstract:
FWS will make a listing determination regarding the Georgia aster pursuant to the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended. The Georgia aster is a perennial herb that is endemic to oak-pine woodland habitat in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, and is currently a candidate for listing under the ESA. FWS is required to designate critical habitat, to the maximum extent prudent and determinable, concurrent with a listing determination. Accordingly, FWS will, if determined prudent and determinable, designate critical habitat for the species as a separate rulemaking action (RIN 1018-BA38). |
