| Title: ●Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Safe Harbor Agreements; Revisions to Policy | |
|
Abstract:
We will revise the current definition of net conservation benefit in the Service’s Safe Harbor Agreement (SHA) Policy to indicate that the conservation actions in a SHA must significantly contribute toward the recovery of the species. The revisions will clarify the level of conservation effort each SHA needs to include in order to get Service approval. The revisions will enable us to be more efficient in approving SHAs. See 1018-BB08 for parallel revisions to the Service’s Candidate Conservation Agreements with Assurances Policy. |
