View Rule

This proposed rule would supplement 49 CFR part 24, Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition for Federal and Federally Assisted Programs, and 2 CFR part 1402, the Financial Assistance Interior Rule, by simplifying the requirements for the acquisition of real property from willing sellers in 11 U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service grant programs and 5 subprograms. The proposed rule would explain how 49 CFR part 24 applies to financial assistance acquisitions and how recipients would be eligible for the exemption available to grant recipients if their proposed acquisitions meet certain conditions. The proposed rule would also address differences in requirements when acquiring voluntary conservation easements.
