Abstract:
FWS will propose to amend the regulations implementing the Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA) to authorize, under a general authorization for scientific research, the taking of marine mammals by harassment for the purpose of scientific research that does not have the potential to injure marine mammals (Level B harassment). FWS will also propose to revise the regulations for the transfer of marine mammal parts for the purpose of scientific research. |
