Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Listing Determination for Western Pond Turtles  
Abstract:

FWS will make listing determinations, based on the best available scientific and commercial data, for the northwestern pond turtle (Actinemys marmorata) and southwestern pond turtle (Actinemys pallida). The northwestern pond turtle is found in Washington, Oregon, and California, and the southwestern pond turtle is found in California and parts of Mexico. FWS will, if prudent and determinable, propose to designate critical habitat for these species in a future rulemaking.
