Abstract:

As directed in Department of the Interior Secretary's Order (SO) 3418, the Service will revise provisions of the 2024 final rule (April 5, 2024; 89 FR 23919) that revised portions of 50 CFR part 17. This review and resulting proposed rule will clarify, interpret, and implement portions of section 4 of the Endangered Species Act concerning the procedures and criteria used for protecting threatened species.
