Title: Regulations Pertaining to Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants  
Abstract:

As directed in Department of the Interior Secretary's Order (SO) 3418, the Service will revise provisions of the 2024 final rule (89 FR 23919, April 5, 2024) that revised portions of 50 CFR part 17. This review and resulting proposed rule will clarify, interpret, and implement portions of section 4 of the Endangered Species Act concerning the procedures and criteria used for protecting threatened species.
