| Title: ●National Wildlife Refuge System; Recission and Revision of Regulations Regarding Administration of the Refuge Revenue Sharing Program | |
|
Abstract:
This rule will remove and revise certain regulations in 50 CFR part 34 relating to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s administration of the Refuge Revenue Sharing Act (RRS Act; 16 U.S.C. 715s), which directs the Service to make payments to local governments for tax-exempt lands that the Service administers. This rule simplifies and clarifies existing procedures and reduces the regulatory burden on counties by removing unnecessary requirements regarding timing of their internal processes like recordkeeping and fund distribution within the local government entity. |
