Title: Technical and Clarifying Edits; Criminal Violations NPS Units Nationwide
Abstract:

Consistent with Supreme Court decisions in 2012 and 2016, this rule would revise existing NPS regulations to generally require a warrant before a person must submit to a blood test when suspected of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs. This rule would also remove obsolete regulations establishing different criminal penalties under NPS regulations for military parks and national historic sites. The authority for these different criminal penalties has been repealed and replaced with a uniform penalty for a violation of NPS regulations.
