Title: ●Financial Assistance and Social Services Programs--Nomenclature Change 
Abstract: The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) is amending part 20 by changing the term "General Assistance" to "Self-sufficiency Funds". This administrative change in terminology is recommended by the Tribal/BIA Welfare Assistance Advisory Workgroup, which is comprised of experts in the management and delivery of social services and key stakeholders from tribal programs nation-wide, Public Law 102-477 programs, the Office of Self-Governance, and BIA human services programs.
