| Title: ●Financial Assistance and Social Services; Burial Assistance | |
|
Abstract:
Current regulations allow eligible indigent Indians to apply for burial assistance but require submission of the application within 30 days of the relative Indian’s death. This rule would extend the deadline for filing an application to 180 days to address hardships resulting from the current short timeframe. Bureau of Indian Affairs would like to do an interim final rule. |
