Title: ●Rescinding Portions of Department of the Interior Title VI Regulations to Conform More Closely with the Statutory Text and To Implement Executive Order 14281  
Abstract:

By this rule, the Department of the Interior amends its regulations implementing title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to eliminate disparate-impact liability. This rule aligns the conduct prohibited by the Department's regulations with title VI's original public meaning, avoids constitutional concerns, reduces compliance costs, and serves the public interest. In addition, this rule implement changes directed in Executive Order 14281.
