Abstract:

This rule updates the Department's debt collection regulations at 28 CFR part 11, subpart A--Retention of Private Counsel for Debt Collection, subpart B--Administration of Debt Collection, and subpart C--Treasury Offset Program for Collection of Debts, and proposes a new subpart D--Administrative Wage Garnishment.
