| Title: Controlled Substance Destruction and Alternatives to Incineration | |
|
Abstract:
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is proposing to publish an ANPRM to survey industry alternatives to incineration that meet the non-retrievable standard for the destruction of controlled substances. DEA extended the comment period in response to stakeholder requests to allow for a significantly longer response time; notice of the comment period extension was prominently placed on DEA Diversion website as well as published in the Federal Register. DEA plans to include the ANPRM in talking points to stakeholders at conferences and has reached out to stakeholder entities to request their assistance in elevating visibility of the ANPRM with their memberships and on social media. |
