| Abstract: The Department of Justice is proposing to amend the regulations of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives to clarify that the Director may exempt from regulation the components of certain explosive actuated devices and explosive actuated tools, as well as similar articles that utilize explosive materials in their function, and which as designed do not constitute a public safety or security hazard. The proposed rule also adds a definition for the term "special explosive article." | |
