Abstract:
This rule will amend 27 CFR 479.64 by codifying that a NICS background check shall be conducted by ATF as part of processing ATF Form 1 applications to make an NFA firearm. Specifically, this rulemaking adds language to 27 CFR 479.64 to track the language in 27 CFR 479.86 and reflects ATF’s current practice of conducting a NICS check for making applications. |
