Abstract:
Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended (29 U.S.C. 794), prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability in programs and activities conducted by an Executive agency. The Department plans to revise its 504 federally conducted regulation at 28 CFR part 39 to update outdated terminology and reflect statutory amendments to the definition of disability applicable to section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, as made by the ADA Amendments Act of 2008, Public Law 110-325, 122 Stat. 3553 (Sep. 25, 2008).
