| Title: ●Unemployment Insurance Work Search Requirements | |
|
Abstract:
The Department of Labor is planning to issue a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) about certain requirements relating to meaningful work search activities in the Unemployment Insurance (UI) program under Section 303(a)(12) of the Social Security Act (SSA). Section 303(a)(12) requires that State laws require all claimants, as a condition of eligibility each week, be able to work, available to work, and actively seeking work. 20 CFR Part 604 addresses the requirement to be able to work and available to work, but no Federal regulation covers the requirement to be actively seeking work. |
