| Title: Mobile Equipment Seat Belts | |
|
Abstract:
The Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) proposes to establish and clarify seat belt requirements in 30 CFR parts 56, 57, and 77 for mobile equipment used at mines. This proposal would require seat belts with interlock features to be provided on mobile equipment and to be worn by miners operating the equipment. This proposal would lower fatal and nonfatal injuries involving mobile equipment used at mines and improve miner safety. |
