Abstract:
This Notice of Proposed Rulemaking proposes to rescind a rule published in the Federal Register on March 24, 2016. The Department of Labor’s (the "Department") Office of Labor-Management Standards ("OLMS") published a Final Rule in the Federal Register titled "Interpretation of the ‘Advice’ Exemption in section 203(c) of the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act," (81 FR 15924) March 24, 2016 (informally, "the Persuader Rule" or "the Rule"), pursuant to notice-and-comment rulemaking.
