| Abstract: This rule will add a contract clause to implement the requirements of Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12), Policy for a Common Identification Standard for Federal Employees and Contractors; Federal Information Processing Standards Publication (FIPS PUB) Number 201, Personal Identity Verification (PIV) of Federal Employees and Contractors; and associated OMB guidance M-05-24 (August 5, 2005). The clause will apply to contracts that require contractor employees to perform on-site at a Department of State (DOS) location and/or that require contractor employees to have access to DOS information systems. | |
