Abstract: In accordance with Executive Order 13563, the Bureau of Consular Affairs is repealing the regulation which provides for personal liability for Consular Officers in cases of malfeasance. The current regulation, which was promulgated in 1957 and last amended in 1984, is no longer authorized by statute.
