Title: ●Establishment of the Wisconsin Ledge Viticultural Area
Abstract: The proposed 3,791.6-square mile Wisconsin Ledge viticultural area is located in Door, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Sheboygan, Ozaukee, Washington, Dodge, Fond du Lac, Calumet, Outagamie, and Brown Counties of northeast Wisconsin. The area is predominantly surrounded by a Lake Winnebago, Fox River, Green Bay, and Lake Michigan, and, to a lesser extent, land. The affects of ancient glacial activity play a significant role in the distinguishing geology, geography, soils and climate of the Wisconsin Ledge region.
