| Title: Proposal to Amend TTB Regulations to Address Labeling of Malt Beverages With Less Than 0.5% Alcohol by Volume | |
|
Abstract:
The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) is proposing amendments to the TTB regulations in response to a petition from an industry association regarding the labeling of malt beverages with less than 0.5% alcohol by volume. The rulemaking proposes changes to the regulations regarding the labeling of such products, including removing limitations on using class and type designations, such as ale and porters. These deregulatory amendments will provide industry with more flexibility in labeling less than 0.5% ABV malt beverages. |
