Abstract: The Coast Guard has developed alternative rules for tank barges carrying certain hazardous materials. This rulemaking would clarify the regulations in 46 CFR part 151 and provide updated regulations in a new 46 CFR part 152. This rulemaking would support the Coast GuardÂ’s strategic goal of maritime safety.
